These technologies cause laser turrets to shoot more often, assuming they can collect energy quickly enough. Each shot costs a constant 800kJ; as the turrets shoot faster, they will require more power to operate effectively. Thus, the research raises their power consumption from 2.4MW (no upgrades) to 7.6MW (all upgrades).
