These technologies cause laser turrets, personal laser defenses and distractors to shoot more often, assuming they can collect energy quickly enough. For laser turrets shot costs a constant 800kJ; as the turrets shoot faster, they will require more power to operate effectively. Thus, the research raises their power consumption from 1.2MW (no upgrades) to 3.8MW (all upgrades).
