Beacon is a building that spreads the effects of inserted Modules to nearby buildings, albeit with reduced efficiency. Multiple beacons can affect a single building, even one that is full of modules.
Beacon itself doesn't benefit from the modules inserted, so the energy cost can't be reduced.
As of 7.2, only Basic beacon exists.
